Celebrated by Britons in the lead up to Easter for centuries, Pancake Day also known as Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Tuesday is one of the nation’s most beloved days and an excuse to indulge and consume plenty of pancakes with chocolate and maple syrup.
Coneyhurst, a residential service in Worthing, supporting adults with complex health needs didn’t miss a beat and took full advantage of the day by flipping plenty of their own pancakes.
Service Manager, Chris, said ‘it was great to see the whole team having so much fun and supporting each other in taking turns to have a go at flipping pancakes, and, we of course, all enjoyed eating them! We hope to be holding similar events throughout the year for us all to take part in’.
The day was even sweeter for Andrew, who recently moved into the service, and was celebrating his 33rd birthday. As well as taking part in Pancake Day, Andrew also went bowling, had a pub lunch, and celebrated with a party at Coneyhurst whilst opening his gifts. He said the team has made him feel welcome and is looking forward to getting to know everyone better in the coming weeks/months.
