Highdown’s Summer Fete was a massive success. They had visitors from other services, families and friends and enjoyed a BBQ, a bouncy castle, a cake stall made by the staff, a tombola, raffle, a nail art stall, and a real life duck race (the ducks were amazingly well behaved!).
Simon, an individual we support at the service, was the resident house DJ for the whole event, with staff supporting him on the decks.
Jenna (Service Manager) further added, ‘the activity that raised the most money- and I have no idea why! - was the manager in the stocks, which was £1 to throw 3 sponges and £5 for a whole bucket of water; needless to say I was soaked!’
A total of £298 was raised from the whole day for MIND.
