Last week, the Kingston office threw an end of summer barbecue to raise money for YoungMinds, the chosen charity for this year. YoungMinds is a charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young adults.
Charlotte Hunter and Gemma Francis, who work in the finance department organised the event for everyone at a nearby hotel.
As well as Kingston office staff, Regional Directors and Locality Managers came along for the evening. It was a great chance to meet some new faces and to get to know some other people from within the company.
The barbecue foods included chicken, sausages, burgers, salad and jacket potatoes. With some chocolate brownie and cheesecakes for desert.
There were games outside including swing ball, wooden noughts and crosses and giant jenga.
Gemma and Charlotte also organised a raffle at the end of the night. There were some more games throughout the evening including guess how many sweets in the jar and guess how much wine in the jar.
Everyone had a great time at the barbecue raising money for YoungMinds raising an amazing £420, which contributed towards the running total of over £4500 so far this year, which is a great success.
Guy Page, Head of Strategic Relationships said: “The night was a great success and everyone enjoyed the food and the games. It is always surprising how competitive people can be with some very scientific approaches taken to work out the number of sweets or glasses of wine in a jar, I still think my answer was right!”
