My Special Poem
I used to walk up to the stream, up the railway track it wasn’t a dream,
The summer sun would shine on me,
The black bridge in the distance I could see,
Then across the railway track to the path to the stream,
On the stream, the sun would beam,
There was the pond that we made,
Where we used our hands as spades,
Now its gone, overgrown, its all alone,
My special place by the stream….
Is now a dream.
