Shelley, an individual we support at Arrowe Hall, wanted to share her positive journey and experience since moving to the service;
‘When I first moved into Arrowe Hall I was very shy, I couldn’t look at people in the face when I was talking to them, but now I am very loud and a great character to be around. Last year I got engaged to Simon. I also annoy Andy, Deputy Manager, which I get great fun out of. It makes me feel really happy. I love living at Arrowe Hall, it’s the best place ever.’
The team at Arrowe Hall have supported Shelley’s recovery by reinforcing positive interaction and sourcing different therapies to help her to control her own emotions and to understand empathy. She enjoys banter which she responds to very well and recognition when she is interacting positively with other individuals.
