Terry Bond, who lives at our residential service, Llwyngwian Fawr in Gwynedd, recently raised money for Comic Relief by completing a swimming challenge.
Comic Relief is a charity event that runs on alternate years to partner event Sport Relief. Terry has been participating in different events for the charity for a number of years now.
This year’s swimming challenge, which was to swim 90 lengths of a local pool, was a great success and Terry raised £75.
The staff at Llwyngwian Fawr helped Terry by swimming with him when he was training for the day to help to motivate him. They also supported him with collecting the money from sponsors.
Terry also enjoys taking part in sporting activities to raise money for other charities as well as Comic Relief; he has previously completed the Aspire challenge which was swimming the length of the English Channel at his local pool for people with spinal injuries.
