The team at our Eastbourne Road residential service are thrilled with the progress of Jack, one of the young men whom they support.

Jack moved to Eastbourne Road last April from his family home where he had started to become anxious about getting out and about.

It took Jack a little while to settle into his new home but with the help of his family and support workers he managed to conquer many of his concerns to gradually become more outgoing.

In September the team were delighted when Jack agreed to a camping trip. They supported him and his family to organise a 2 night trip to Staplecross campsite.

Jack had a wonderful time away, making the use of the site club and swimming pool. He enjoyed visiting Bodium castle and a local steam train station.

While Jack was away the team redecorated his bedroom with his choice of colours and new flooring. On his return, Jack was pleased with his new-look room.

He continues to make great progress, recently travelling back to his family home for the first time and planning to go again very soon.
